You've picked up the most obvious thing :). In larger technology companies they follow this process really well (my exposure to interviews at those companies is indeed what inspired me to modify our process accordingly). But in Australia and other regions in Asia (where we operate really), they are still a little far behind. In sharing this, I hope it will expose more people to the process that is more or less widely followed by the industry today :)
